I am writing this letter, along with many others, with a hope of gaining some media attention about congenital heart defects. A few months ago, I "met" a little boy named Ethin Twigg through his Carepage. Ethin was just a few months old when I started to follow his story. He was born with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). I was not fortunate enough to have met Ethin in real life, but I followed his updates and prayed every day for this little guy. When Ethin was seemingly doing his best, and was expected to go home from the hospital in a few weeks, the worst happened. Ethin passed away at only 5 months old. I will never forget little Ethin, and am happy to write this letter in his honor. Please help bring media attention to babies born with heart defects. One day there could be a cure!
